TYRESAFE LAUNCHES A 'BE A SPORT CHECK YOUR TYRES' CAMPAIGN

As the excitement of summer sports grips the nation, TyreSafe has announced the launch of its Be a Sport, Check Your Tyres campaign. This initiative encourages road users to adopt the mindset of elite athletes by emphasising the importance of preparation for peak performance—specifically, in maintaining their tyres. With a lineup of major sporting events including the Euros, Wimbledon, the Olympics, the British Grand Prix, and the Tour de France, TyreSafe aims to inspire drivers to make sure their vehicle is operating and peak performance and safety through proper tyre maintenance. This summer, TyreSafe is using the crucial ACT acronym to help riders and drivers remember three essential steps for tyre care, and the campaign uses a fun and engaging tyre sports stars in a range of scenarios, to link tyre safety to the summer of sport. A - Air pressure: Ensure your tyres are inflated to the manufacturer's recommended levels. C - Condition: Regularly check tyres for cuts, bulges, and wear and tear. T - Tread depth: Make sure your tyres have a tread depth of at least 1.6mm, the legal minimum, for optimal grip and safety. TyreSafe wants drivers to draw inspiration from the dedication and preparation of athletes competing in these prestigious events. Just as these sports stars leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of excellence, motorists should adopt the same level of diligence in preparing their tyres. This approach will help ensure they stay safe, save money on fuel and tyre costs, and enjoy a smooth and trouble-free driving experience. Throughout the summer, TyreSafe will be providing tips, resources, and reminders via its website and social media channels to help motorists stay on top of their tyre maintenance. By following the ACT principles, drivers can ensure their tyres are ready to deliver peak performance, just like their favourite sports stars. TyreSafe supporters are invited to share the campaign materials, which include social media statics and GIFs, a press release template, a social media schedule and customisable print assets, to encourage drivers to take regular action in pursuit of peak performance.
